Herbsluftwm ArcoLinuxD and ArcoLinuxB

We have developed another tiling window manager for ArcoLinux.  You can as always decide to install it with either

• ArcoLinuxD iso and scripts
• ArcoLinuxB iso or build your own iso with the applications you like.
• ArcoLinuxB Minimal and LTS versions have been put online as well

C = color from ArcoLinux

AR = color from Arch Linux

L = color from the feet of our little linux mascotte called Tux

I = color from an iso – silver/grey

NEW PACKAGE FOR BUDGIE

Budgie and Gnome shared the same config package as they rely on each other.

We have split the config in 2 packages

• arcolinux-config-gnome-git
• arcolinux-config-budgie-git

To keep rolling on Budgie you must unstall arcolinux-config-gnome-git with

sudo pacman -R arcolinux-config-gnome-git

and install this one

sudo pacman -S arcolinux-config-budgie-git

Then do a skel to get the new data in your home directory and restart your engine or logout.

But there is a catch – the dconf file.

We explain it in the video.

With the new development of Herbstluftwm we have added a few lines so we can change our wallpaper with variety in Herbslufwm.

Polybar config has been changed to include settings for Herbstluftwm.

We updated to a newer version of the Long Term Support kernel for linux.

The script to use all kernels has been rewritten (thanks to soehub from github).

We opted for cmatrix-git rather than cmatrix. This git version does support transparency, which is much cooler.

1 new wallpaper

This wallpaper lights up my desktop and I missed it when it was gone. I hope it will give you some joy as well.
